A prefix is part of a word that you put at the beginning of a word to change its meaning. ‘ un- ’ means ‘not’. ‘ re- ’ means ‘again’. un + happy = unhappy , meaning ‘not happy’ re + visit = revisit , meaning ‘visit again’ Word work: prefixes
