HEALERS In early 2025, Mark Turrentine, MD, reached a milestone few have achieved when he performed his 200th heart transplant. In addition to heart surgeries at Riley Children’s, Dr. Turrentine has led 40 trips to the Middle East, where he and fellow Riley Heart Center colleagues have provided lifesaving heart care to approximately 600 children.
More about cardiothoracic surgery at Riley Children’s Dr. Turrentine was one of the first surgeons in the United States to use the Berlin Heart to manage a child in heart failure.
