PHYSICIAN HIGHLIGHT

In addition to caring for general pediatric patients, Riley Hospital Medicine serves as the primary admitting service for nine medical specialties at Riley Children’s. We serve as surgical co-managers with Neurosurgery, Otolaryngology and Urology. Expanded pediatric hospitalist services in central Indiana In October 2024, Riley Hospital Medicine expanded to IU Health Bloomington Hospital in a new, five- bed pediatric unit. Hospitalists provide inpatient pediatric care, as well as newborn nursery care. With a goal of discharging patients within 24 hours, Riley hospitalists at IU Health Fishers oversee care in an observation unit connected to the pediatric emergency department.
