CHRISTOPHER SMITH christopher.smith@eap.on.ca
A sensory sonata presented entirely online, all in support of a charity sup- porting deafblind residents. Savour the Senses, presented by The Lions Club of Russell, is an exploration of taste, smell, and touch presented entirely online. The virtual event will support Deaf- Blind Ontario Services and will allow guests to savour the intertwining flavours of fine chocolate, wine, and moonshine. Guests will receive a package prior to the event with three kinds of fine chocolate, two bottles of wine, and a sampler of moonshine. On October 23, they will open the package, and a chocolatier, sommelier, and whiskey maker will lead them through pairing the confections and instruct them on how to create their own pairings. “Savour the Senses is a great event to learn how to pair wines, chocolate and food in an unpretentious way,” said Susan .BOBIBO EJSFDUPSPGEFWFMPQNFOUBOEDPN - munications at DeafBlind Ontario Services. “Because it’s from the comfort of your own home, you don’t need to dress up, book a sitter or have a designated driver.” The DeafBlind Ontario Foundation is a non-profit that provides individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing, non-verbal, and deafblind with an array of services so they can live and thrive within the community. The event will take place from 7:30 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 23.
