1 Number the instructions for washing your hands in the correct sequence. a Dry your hands on a clean towel. b Rub your hands together briskly to create lather. c First wet your hands with running water, hot or cold. 1 e If you don’t have a towel, wave your hands in the air to dry them. f Rinse the soap off your hands under running water. g Apply soap to your hands. h After rinsing off the soap, turn off the tap. 2  Which sentences are written in the active voice? Which are in the passive? 1 Nathan usually helps to wash the dishes after lunch. 2 Yesterday the dishes were washed by Nathan’s brother. 3 They were dried with a clean towel. 4 Mom will put the dishes back in the cupboard. 3 Rewrite these sentences in the present passive. Example: We sweep the floors with a broom. The floors are swept with a broom.
