My grandmother is the kindest person I know. She has a wrinkly face, twinkling brown eyes and a warm smile. She likes to wear comfortable old clothes when she is at home, but when she goes to church, she really dresses up. I love to visit her. She lives in the country in an old wooden house. Everything in her house is as neat as a new pin. As I walk up the path, I can smell the lovely cakes she bakes for us. My grandmother always makes me feel as though I am the most important person in the world. As soon as I arrive, she sits down beside me and asks me to tell her all my news. Whenever I have a problem, she listens sympathetically and brings me a slice of her delicious cake to cheer me up. Last year, my grandmother’s neighbour, Mrs. Jones, fell ill. Every morning, Grandmother got up early to help to get Mrs. Jones’ children ready for school. Then she cooked her some breakfast and tidied the house. Everyone in the village loves my grandmother. They know they can count on her if they have a problem. “I like helping people,” she always says.
