Dear Aunt Judy

My friend told me that you helped her with a problem, so I amwriting to you to ask for your advice. I get really nervous when I have to give a presentation in class. I can't sleep the night before, and when I get to school, I can't concentrate onmy lessons. I always prepare what I am going to say, but when I stand up, I forget everything I have learnt.

3 Find two verbs of action and two verbs of being in this paragraph. It was Tara’s birthday and she felt really excited. In the afternoon, her friends came to her party. They played games and ate the cake her grandmother baked. Everyone had a good time.

4 Find three different helping verbs in this paragraph.

Jason did not have time to finish his homework last night. He will try to do it before he goes to school. His teacher told him that he must always complete his work on time.

5 Read the sentences. Identify the sentence types. 1 Do you enjoy playing sports?

6 Divide these sentences into subject and predicate.
