Language Present continuous tense
The present continuous tense tells us what is happening now . To form this tense we use the helping verbs am / is / are with the present participle of the main verb:

• Speaking and listening: Discuss different descriptive techniques, e.g. visualising a place or an object and working from left to right, or from top to bottom. Another descriptive technique is to observe using different senses. ICT Project photos or internet images of places on to a screen for students to describe. CR Present continuous tense: This tense can cause problems for Creole speakers where the helping verb is not generally used. Before attempting the exercises, revise the present tense of the verb ‘be’.
