Checklist for a character description Have I: described what the character looks like? said what kind of a person s/he is? given examples of how the character behaves? used interesting words to describe him or her?

Use an online thesaurus to find interesting words for your description.

•  Writing: Before students start the writing exercise, run through the writing process with them: planning, drafting, revising. Remind them to proofread their writing before they publish it. • Students could include the character description in their writing portfolio . DA  Help some students by completing a table about character as a group exercise. They can use this as the basis for their compositions.
