2 Punctuate the following sentences with quotation marks and commas. You will find the first two sentences in the story. Try to use a variety of words to replace said . It is all right to use said some of the time but other verbs will give the reader a better understanding of the character and the situation.
Make a list of all the words that are used instead of said in the story on pages 95–96.
