Main idea

Features of a persuasive text: • Introduction – introduces the writer’s opinion •  Development – states the reasons for the writer’s opinion, using persuasive language •  Conclusion – sums up what has been said and states your point of view again Persuasive writing often uses emotive language such as urgently .
