Unit 11 What have I learnt? Can Do Skills

1 Read this letter and answer the questions.

Dear Mr Collins Over the last year, more and more young people, attending the Go Kids Sports Club, have been leaving their bikes outside my house. I live next door to the club and bikes are left in my garden and on the path to my door. As you are the manager of the Go Kids Sports Club, I urge you to take action. I am all in favour of young people taking exercise, both by cycling and playing sports. I also believe they should be encouraged to think about other people. I live with my elderly father who could easily stumble over one of these bikes. I enjoy planting flowers in my garden but they get squashed and broken by the bikes thrown on top of them by careless young people. I feel strongly that you should provide an area on your land for people to park their bikes. I hope you will take responsibility for your visitors. Yours sincerely James Kirk
