• Pronouns in the first group are subject pronouns. In the second group, they are object pronouns. Students may find these terms confusing. At this stage, it is easier to define them as pronouns which come ‘before’ and ‘after’ the verb. • Exercises 3–4: Point out that a pronoun can replace a group of words, e.g. my English book = it. CR Pronouns in Creole and Standard English are often used differently. Give examples in Creole and Standard English for your students to compare.
