• Exercise 1: Read aloud the poem in Listening Texts page 146 to students. Allow them to answer the questions in Exercise 2. You may need to explain that the word ‘parakeets’ refers to a type of parrot. • Exercise 3: Ask students to read the words aloud so you can check pronunciation. DA Allow some students to answer Exercise 5 orally. Praise their efforts if they get it right.
