We add ‘ d ’ or ‘ ed ’ to most verbs to show that something happened in the past. Tiger decide d to play a trick on Anansi. The animals laugh ed at Anansi.

• Tell students to close their eyes and imagine what Anansi looks like. Show them pictures of Anansi in other story books. Compare with the images in this book. CR Before students start the speaking and listening exercise, you could ask them to retell the story in Creole as a class. ICT Students can conduct an internet search to find other images of Anansi.
