Comparative and superlative

When we compare two things we add ‘ -er ’ to adjectives. Sometimes we have to change the spelling:

• Exercise 3: To practise using adjectives, play a guessing game. One student describes an everyday object without naming it. Other students must guess what it is. • Comparative and superlative: Tell students that the adjectives we use to compare people or things are called comparative adjectives.
