Extension: Practise speaking and listening as well as plurals by having pupils ask each other questions beginning with ‘How many…’ For example: How many boys/girls/teachers/windows/doors are there in the classroom? How many books are there on the table? • Encourage pupils to form their questions correctly and to use Standard English in their replies, sounding the ‘s’ on the end of the plural nouns so that the meaning is clear.
