former flyweight titleholder, was lifted from No. 9 to No. 7. Picking up the slack left by Cuellar’s exit was popular kickboxer-turned-kickless boxer Tenshin Nasukawa, who cracked the ratings at No. 8 with a unanimous decision over former titleholder Jason Moloney, who slipped from No. 7 to No. 9. JUNIOR BANTAMWEIGHT: David Jimenez went from No. 9 to No. 8 after a respectable UD over Keyvin Lara. The move was also informed by the downward trajectory of ultimate underdog and former champion Srisaket Sor Rungvisai (formerly No. 8), who, after his knockout loss to Jesse Rodriguez in 2022, seems to be enjoying a working retirement fighting low-risk six- and eight-rounders. FLYWEIGHT: Creeping dark horse Ricardo Sandoval got a one-rank promotion to No. 5 and surely gained some more ground toward a title shot by widely outpointing Saleto Henderson (unrated) in Anaheim, California. STRAWWEIGHT: Former titleholder Wilfredo Mendez moved up in weight, so he was removed from the list and the Philippines’ Joey Canoy returned at No. 10.

JUNIOR FEATHERWEIGHT: Luis Nery was promoted from No. 4 to No. 3 after having his way for six rounds against Kyosuke Kameda (unrated), then flooring the Japanese fighter twice and stopping him in the seventh. BANTAMWEIGHT: Nakatani, undefeated and already rated No. 1, sent Cuellar flying backward with a straight left to the solar plexus followed by another to the head for a knockdown in Round 3, then immediately followed up with a crushing left for a second knockdown and the 10-count. Cuellar, who went into the fight rated No. 8, dropped out of the ratings. On that same card, WBA titleholder Seiya Tsutsumi held on to his belt with a draw – 114-114 across the board – in a fight whose ninth frame could be an early candidate for round of the year: Higa floored Tsutsumi with a counter left hook, which fueled a 30-second follow-up attack, and then Higa did a face-plant after Tsutsumi nailed him with a right cross. The rest of the round was Higa weathering an assault from a bleeding Tsutsumi until the bell. These guys are true nemeses, having also fought to a draw in November 2020 (though one judge favored Higa by one point in that bout). Tsutsumi stayed put at No. 3 while Higa, a
