Dear Sir, There are plans for a new park in Burgess Field, on the edge of Millhop. My class looked at the proposals and these are our views. We need a park where local people can relax and take exercise but Burgess Field is not the right place. It is a big field but it is on the edge of town. It is twenty minutes’ walk from the school so it is unsuitable for P.E. and sports lessons. In our opinion, Church Field is a much better site although it is smaller. There is enough space for a children’s play area and a sports pitch. People can get there easily because it is in the centre of town. It is so close to school that we could go every day. It is also very peaceful because it is behind the church. We strongly encourage the Council to choose Church Field so that everyone can enjoy the lovely new park. Yours truly, Darren Clarke
