Alliteration

Alliteration is the repetition of consonant sounds in words which are close together. cruel and cavernous scream or scurry Alliteration can create a mood and it can make phrases easier to remember. S cary, hi ss ing s nake B ig B argains!

1 Find the alliteration in each of these phrases. Write out the phrase and

underline the repeated consonants. Example: Lion lifted one long leg. 1 As bright as a button
