• Explain that charts and tables present information in a way that makes it easy for us to see and understand. • This is a ‘double’ bar graph because It gives information about two data groups – boys and girls. ICT Show students bar charts online, for example at www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize. Project them and ask questions based on the charts. ICT Extension: Have students survey the type of books preferred by the class (mystery, sci fi, non-fiction etc.). Demonstrate how to use the results to create a bar chart on a computer.
