Joining sentences with who and which

• We can join sentences with conjunctions ( and, but, because and so on). • We can also join sentences with who (for persons) and which (for animals and things). • When we join sentences with who or which we sometimes have to take out or change words.

4 Study how the sentences have been joined together. Which words have been removed? Which words have been put in their place? 1 a) Our class visited the Sugar Museum. It is in the yard of the Sugar Factory. b) Our class visited the Sugar Museum which is in the yard of the Sugar Factory. 2 a) We had a guide. The guide explained everything. b) We had a guide who explained everything.
