• Students copy an organiser into their journals to help them to reflect on their learning. Before using each one, go through it with the class, thinking aloud and demonstrating how to make best use of it. • Self-assessment 1: Use this with students after they have completed each What have I learnt? page to help them assess their progress. • Self-assessment 2: Use this after students have spoken in public, e.g. when they have made a presentation or recited a poem.
