Tell students that the comparative and superlative of ‘good’ and ‘bad’ do not follow the rules. They will have to learn how to use them. You may want to teach students this rhyme: Good, better, best/ Never let it rest./ Until my good is better/ And my better best. • Portfolio: Remember to include examples of descriptive writing in students' portfolios.
