Language Negatives in the present tense
Sometimes a main verb has a helping verb to help it make sense. Does and do are helping verbs. They help us form negatives in the present tense. Daddy plants a tree every year.

DA Exercise 3: Questions 1–6 are easier. The answer to question 7 might be found under ‘beaches’ or ‘pollution’. The answer to question 8 requires thought because ‘schools’ isn’t listed. Tell students to search for another word ( education ). • Speaking and listening: Allow students to discuss the questions for a few minutes and then continue the discussion as a whole class activity.
