FINISHING SHOTS By Tom Gray
… STAYS IN VEGAS Headlining in Las Vegas for the first time, Terence Crawford put his WBO 140-pound title on the line against WBC counterpart Viktor Postol at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on July 23, 2016. In a battle of unbeatens, Crawford was superior throughout, flooring the Ukrainian twice in Round 5 before cruising to a lopsided unanimous decision that earned him the Ring Magazine junior welterweight belt. Just over a year later, Crawford would become undisputed champion at 140 pounds. The long-awaited superfight with fellow pound-for-pound entrant Canelo Alvarez will mark the sixth time that Crawford has fought in a main event on The Strip.
