Voltaire has 'passed into history,' and not very respectable history, either; but his old printing press, it is said, has since been used to print the Word of God; and the very house where he lived is packed with Bibles, a depot for the Geneva Bible Society. Thomas Paine demolished the Bible, and finished it off finally; but a f t er he had so done, he crawled despairingly into a drunkard's grave in 1809."

This is the blessed relationship. To be the servant of the King. But we must be careful lest we be cum- bered in service, Luke 10:40. We mu st never be so absorbed in our service t h at we have no time for the study of God's Word or for prayer. Even service m ay lose its joy if we worry and fret in our doing of it, Rev. 2:19.
