It is as f ar above them, both in thought and expression, as the heavens are higher than the earth. For eighteen hundred years it has been read and studied and prayed over and wept over, and thousands and hundreds of thousands of volumes have been con- structed out of it, and today it remains as fresh, and unexhausted and inexhaustible as ever. Unlike any book in the world, the more it is searched the more pro- found becomes its meaning, and there is literally no end of its new disclosures of truth to those who descend beneath its surface into the depths of the riches both of its wisdom and knowledge.
