The Basis of Christ’s Appeal to Men The Lord Jesus Christ presents a univer sal appeal. In His personality, He is unique, supreme, undying, and undefeated. He appeals to men, saved and unsaved, through the following means: 1. His eternal existence (John 8:58). 2. His spotless character (Heb. 7:26). ' 3. His atoning work on the cross (Rom. 5:6). 4. His high priestly intercession (John 17). 5. His ability to save to the uttermost (Heb. 7:25). When there is a response to this appeal, there will be worship o f the Lord Himself, faith in the atoning work of Christ, life received through His name, hope through His promises, and eternal life in His pres ence.— J oseph T. A Summer Convention The Independent Fundamental Churches o f America will hold their fourth annual convention in the Cicero Bible Church, Cicero, 111., from Monday evening, June S, to Friday, June 9. The Century of Prog ress Exposition, convening almost simul taneously with it, will add interest to the I. F. C. A. Convention. Daily sessions will be devoted to the consideration of Chris tian work along the lines of open-air evan gelism, Bible conferences, tract distribu tion, union Bible classes, and Sunday- school work. The evening sessions will emphasize Biblical evangelism. This Independent Fundamental Church movement is growing rapidly and making itself felt especially in the Middle West ern States.
