REGISTRATION | QUESTIONS
RESERVATION SYSTEM FOR RACQUETS This reservation system, hosted by ForeTees and accessible both online and on your mobile phone, is a user-friendly system that will allow you to easily schedule court reservations online 24-hours a day. This reservation system will also allow you to register for racquet events complimented by email reminders of your court bookings. HOW TO ACCESS FORETEES COURT RESERVATIONS ONLINE Login to the wilmingtoncc.com website and click the “Court Reservations” button on the member Home screen or on the Racquet page. On this ForeTees home screen you will be able to access the top menu where you can make your court reservation, register for racquet events, etc. HOW TO ACCESS FORETEES COURT RESERVATIONS ON YOUR MOBILE APP Search ForeTees or Club Central within the App Store (Apple Devices) or Google Play Store (Android Devices) and download the app. Have your mobile device handy and access ForeTees (from a laptop/PC) as usual. Click on the “Settings” tab and scroll down to “Generate Password”. Input these credentials to your device. Instructions on how to access the mobile app will also be available on the ForeTees home screen. The Wilmington Country Club's Junior Racquets Program offers a dynamic and engaging experience for young athletes of all skill levels, from beginners just discovering the sport to aspiring competitors. Our comprehensive program provides expert instruction from our experienced pros in a fun and supportive environment. Beyond instruction, the program includes opportunities for match play, tournaments, and social events, fostering a sense of camaraderie and healthy competition among our juniors. TENNIS PROGRAMMING
Munchkins (3-4 years) Level: Beginner
Red 1 (5-6 years) Level: Beginner
Players are introduced to tennis through a variety of fun, skill-building activities. The primary focus is on developing a strong athletic foundation through high emphasis on agility, balance and coordination. Players will work on proper technique and learn tennis terminology, including the names of the parts of a tennis court, strokes, and grips as they work together in teams. Kids will play on a 36’ court with the Red ball and use 19’’ racquets.
Players will continue to build their athletic foundation as they practice their technical base. We will introduce rallying with the coach as they still work together in teams. Kids will play on a 36’ court with the Red ball and use 19’’-23’’ racquets.

Red 2 (7-8 years) Level: Beginner
Red 3 (7-8 years) Level: Intermediate
Players will continue to build their athletic foundation as they work more on their technical base. In this class they will rally with the coach and also with one another. We will also introduce match play focusing on where they stand and how to keep score as well as hitting with topspin. Kids will play on a 36’ court with the Red ball and use 19’’-23’’ racquets.
Players will solidify their technical base with a strong emphasis on rallying with topspin. We will introduce different point play tactics and how to use them. This class will prepare players to transition to the Orange court and ball. Kids will play on a 36’ court with a Red ball and use 19’’-23’’ racquets. *Players have completed four sessions of Red 2.

Orange Hot Shots (9-10 years) Level: Beginner & Intermediate
Players will focus on developing a solid technical base in movement and strokes including ball control. They will also learn rules and basic strategy and incorporate in point play situations. Kids will play on a 60’ court with the Orange ball and use 23’’-25’’ racquets.

Green & Yellow Hot Shots (11-13 years) Level: Beginner & Intermediate
Players will focus on developing a solid technical base in movement and strokes including ball control. They will also learn rules and basic strategy and incorporate in point play situations. Kids will play on a 78’ court with Green Dot and Yellow balls and use 26’’-27’’ racquets.

High School (14+ years) Level: Beginner & Intermediate
Primary focus will be on refining doubles and singles tactics specifically designed to prepare players for Spring High School tennis team tryouts and season. Kids are encouraged to play on WCC Jr. League Teams.

JUNIOR ACADEMY
For junior tennis players at Wilmington Country Club who have demonstrated a commitment to the sport and meet the WCC Jr. Tennis Pathway parameters, our Academy classes offer an exciting avenue to pursue more competitive opportunities. These classes are designed for those who aspire to take their game to the next level and are serious about developing their skills and strategic play. Academy players will be strongly encouraged to participate on our Junior League Teams, providing valuable match experience and fostering a sense of team spirit. Furthermore, we support and encourage our Academy players to compete in both District (DE) and Sectional (DE, NJ, PA) USTA tournaments, giving them the chance to test their abilities against other talented players in the region. Our comprehensive Academy program goes beyond simply hitting balls on the court. Classes will incorporate both on-court playing sessions, focusing on advanced techniques, tactical strategies, and match play scenarios, and off-court fitness training portions, designed to improve players' strength, agility, and endurance, all crucial elements for success in competitive tennis. We believe that a well- rounded approach to training is essential for maximizing a player's potential. As an added benefit, all players who register for the full session will receive a personalized End of Session Player Review, providing valuable feedback on their progress and identifying areas for continued development. Please note that class times are subject to change based on indoor court availability, so we encourage you to check the schedule regularly for any updates. Orange Academy - Level: Advanced Players will refine their Athletic Development, Movement, and Stroke Competency as they continue to develop expertise in each area of the court. Kids are encouraged to play in USTA Level 8 Orange Ball tournaments and Orange Ball Leagues.

Green Academy - Level: Advanced Players will continue to develop their shot making ability and be introduced to specific competitive patterns of play. Kids are encouraged to play in USTA Level 7 Green Dot tournaments and participate in the WCC Green Dot Jr. League Teams.

Yellow Academy - Level: Advanced Players will be perfecting their individual style of play and learning how to combat opposing styles. Players will practice offensive and defensive patterns of play and sharpen the tools needed to execute them at the highest level. Kids are encouraged to play USTA Level 6 tournaments and participate in WCC Jr. League Teams.

SQUASH PROGRAMMING
5 - 6 Year Olds: The players will learn rules, grips, swings, techniques, tactics, and movement of the game of Squash. Juniors will work on athletic capacities including eye-hand coordination, athletic agility, speed and balance. Players will be in a fun and friendly environment with creative and competitive games to form a good squash foundation.

7 - 9 Year Olds Juniors will work on refining technique to promote consistency, and accuracy while introducing new tactics, strategies, and methods. More efficient movement and recovery will help stroke production, ball control, leading to more match oriented condition games. The concepts of “let calling” and refereeing will be introduced. Sportsmanship and learning to win and lose gracefully.
12 - 14 Year Olds This program focuses on consistency under pressure and strategic shot selection, helping juniors build their game around their strengths. Players will learn when and how to use deception around the "T," utilize the entire front wall with lobs and drops, and participate in increased match play and tournaments. Videotaping will be used for teaching and self-awareness.

10 - 12 Year Olds Players in this program will refine technical skills and tactics, including new footwork patterns, movement, and endurance in a more intense setting. They'll learn to control the "T," develop offensive and defensive speed, and think one to two shots ahead. Instruction will cover deception, refereeing, match play, goal setting, and mental training. Juniors will learn tournament registration, draw reading, and benefit from videotaping to enhance personal squash awareness.
High School Age Tournament and Team Players This robust clinic is designed for tournament and squash team players, covering all game facets: technical and tactical skills, advanced movement, strategy, preparation, holding, game planning, fault analysis, and playing styles. It includes mental training, on- and off-court work, video analysis, coached match play, advanced refereeing, and intense focus on endurance, power, strength, and flexibility. Video analysis is used for both teaching and match play review.
