Welcome to the 2026 Tessier Herefords 9th annual production sale! As I sit here and write this, I can’t help but be amazed at the resilience our cowherd has demonstrated this year. Spring rolled In and we were looking at being on the verge of a terrible drought, but the good Lord truly blessed us, and the rains came at the perfect time. Heading into summer, we didn’t let the grass grow beneath our feet- with Larissa trying to keep the train on the tracks with our feral crew; myself working full time in the oil field; Hayden getting into bull riding; Hadley working at Heart River Ranch, getting into photography; and everybody pitching in during hay season, we didn’t much time between oil changes- we were running hard! Coming into the fall, I thought 2024 was the top on the cattle market, and boy was I wrong! Watching calves tickle $3000/head; this had me thinking about genetics. There has never been a better time to invest in top-end genetics and utilize cross breeding in your program. It is crucial that each operation becomes efficient; right down to the genetic makeup of each individual animal. Heterosis positively influences many traits that are vital for profitable beef production; including fertility/reproduction, calf survival, calves that gain faster, efficiency and longevity. In addition, replacement females are 8% more efficient, live 38% longer, and have 25% more lifetime production in pounds of calf weaned. We look forward to seeing everyone that we missed this summer on our ranch tours. I can say without a doubt this is the most even set of bulls we have ever offered. From top to bottom there isn’t a bull in the offering that we wouldn’t turn out ourselves. We invite you out anytime before the sale to look at the cow herd and view the offering. DELIVERY: Free delivery up to 200 miles of sale location. We will start delivering April 1st, a cost of $3.00 per head per day will be charged to the buyer on bulls left at the ranch after April 1st.
