ing the company’s journey and future vision. “The company was started in 1956 by Glenn Janowsky, and it was built on relationships, design, customer service, and quick service,” said Joseph R. Palmeri, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Jamestown Container, who joined the company a few months after its founding. Together with Bruce Janowsky, Glenn’s son, the CEO and President of the company, they’ve assembled a team that has driven Jamestown from a single plant into a multi-loca- tion manufacturing and packaging organization serving businesses across a wide range of industries. “We’ve always had an incredible emphasis on the supply chain and how it could be managed to assist our customers,” said Palmeri. “We began with sheet supply contracts with PCA and many others, and we remained fo- cused on the quality of our product, speed of our service and fairness of our prices. After years of steady growth, we did our first acquisition in 1980 with the purchase of On- tario Containers, a small sheet plant in Medina, New York. The company also moved the Medina, New York, sheet plant business to Rochester, while retaining the contract packaging work in Medina where it would stay until later moved to Buffalo in 2002. Just a few short months later, in August of 1994, James- Glenn Janowsky, left started Jamestown Container in 1956. Joseph R.
