Tatsuda, whose other name Is Little Flower. And the white of her face turned to pink as she lowered her eyes again. I said no word to her for I could not do it. Nor could she to me. Only my heart whispered over and over, “O Christ! O Christ! How have you taken my cross and changed it to sweet burden of flowers!” {The End ] Biola’s World-Wide Prayer Circle Praise to God is the keynote of the prayers of those in the Bible Institute family who have been permitted to see what He has done for this great work through the intercession of the members of Biola’s World-Wide Prayer Circle. Par ticularly during the past two years the heavenly Father has seen fit to lay the bur dens of the Bible Institute of Los Angeles upon many hearts throughout the land, and hundreds have enrolled in the Prayer Circle, selecting a definite hour each week for prayer for the school and its work. Miss Christina J. Braskamp, the secre tary of the Prayer Circle reports the fol lowing enrollment for prayer on specified days of the week: Sunday, 103; Monday, 128; Tuesday, 64; Wednesday, 108; Thurs day, 45; Friday, 35, and Saturday, , 55. Daily prayer is reported by 72 members, and 42 other friends have indicated their active fellowship although they have not stated a particular time of prayer. A few of the subjects for special praise at the Institute are these: the recent open ing of a Biola radio ministry for which definite prayer has been made for several years; the more than 2,000 friends who in the classroom at the school, in Biola Bible classes in neighboring communities, and in correspondence study in their own homes are studying the Word of God; for the gift, from a faithful prayer warrior in a near-by city, of a second gospel automobile to be used by the Bible Institute for evangelistic purposes; for the multiplied prayer requests that have been sent in to the Institute to be shared before the Throne; for blessing experienced on the day of prayer opening the “Go Forward” Campaign, and for the funds supplied day by day to carry on the work of the school —especially for laying it upon the heart of a dear intercessor in a distant state who supplied the pressing need of the summer months. Surely God’s promise is for our day, as in the days of old: “The Lord shall open unto thee his good treasure” ?Deut. 28:12). In the week closing Saturday, November 6, three of the school’s intercessors prayed definitely for a certain sum of money which they knew was needed for this first week in November. On Saturday a prayer war rior was moved to pray for the Institute and to give the sum of one thousand dol lars. Some are able to minister only through prayer; others are able to help by both prayer and giving. Friends wishing to enroll in the Prayer Circle or to form Biola prayer groups in their own localities are invited to write to Miss Braskamp at 558 S. Hope St., Los Angeles, Calif.

CHRIST or ATHEISM? The condition prevailing among many of the young people along our Polish-Russian Frontier gives us deep concern. A recent letter tells us: “The minds and hearts of our young people are hungry and receptive. They are ready to swallow anything they come across .r When Jesus Christ is in the heart and mind, atheism and paganism have no door by which to enter and no soil in which to grow. Here mid here alone lies the way to victory over the powers of darkness which threaten us. Poland offers to the world not blatant young atheists and pagans but consecrated Christians ready for service I Are you friends of this vital work of Christ? No matter how small or large, your gift will help much.

Every young man and woman in the picture above and many others are available for full-time service. They invite the Christian people of America to sustain them in the Master's service. Only $25 monthly will support any worker in this mission field all along the Russian frontier from the Baltic Sea to the Black Sea with Poland as our center of activi ties. Will you pray for our Polish, Ukrainian, Russian and Hebrew people and will you help provide support for one or more of these faithful and able servants of Christ our Lord? Make yourself a Committee of One to do something about this at once. Unite a group of young people, and older ones, too, to stand back of one of these fine Christian workers among the people of Eastern Europe. Konstanty J. Jaroszewicz, M.A., D.D.
