Decorator's Techniques

HEAT TRANSFER Heat transfer involves combining heat and pressure to transfer images to garments. This is a great option for detailed prints, customisation, shorter runs and quick turnaround times.

DIRECT TO GARMENT Direct to garment printing (DTG) is printing on textiles using inkjet technology which usually utilizes specialised water-based inks. DTG is particularly effective for short runs, full color printing, or for reproducing fine detail.

EMBROIDERY Embroidery is sewing a design, type or logo onto a garment with special thread. This technique gives garments a higher perceived value and works particularly well on heavier weight garments such as fleece.

SCREEN PRINT Screen printing (or silk screening) is a technique that uses stencils and ink to create designs on garments. It is the most economical method for producing large quantities that involve cotton or cotton-blend garments.

SUBLIMATION Also called dye sublimation, this process uses heat-sensitive inks to create full-color, photo-quality reproductions of digital images that last. Sublimation is well suited for 100% polyester garments.
