Here’s an overview of each door model to help you select the right model for your situation.

Survivor Polycarbonate Doors handle the punishment of washbays and numerous other types of wet, corrosive or high-use facilities.
Survivor Polycarbonate Garage Doors (Pages 6-9) Our Survivor series polycarbonate doors were originally designed for use in the car, truck and bus wash industry where they have been the number one choice for three decades. Their curb appeal, reliability, durability and ability to handle the punishing conditions in those types of situations has also made them a popular choice for a wide range of other applications ranging from transportation facilities, fertilizer plants, waste treatment facilities and dairy farms as well as numerous other wet, dirty or corrosive environments.
Survivor Polycarbonate doors are available in two counterbalance systems to fit your requirements. Here’s what you need to know. 1. Torsion Springs- Torsion spring counterbalance systems are our most popular counterbalance system and are used on any size door. They are easy to adjust and balance your door perfectly, equating to the smooth operation of your door with less wear and tear on your door hardware. Great for manually or automated operated doors. (page 7) 2. Strap Counterweights- Doors with strap counterweights are popular in areas that have constant exposure to moisture, dirt, contamination or are subject to repetitive use like automatic carwashes. Typically used for automated doors only, strap counterweight systems are offered on doors up to 12’ x 10’ in size only. (page 8) When you need a Polycarbonate Door with Standard Hardware Survivor Polycarbonate doors are available for standard commercial or residential use too. For applications that want the benefits of our polycarbonate doors without our signature 3” heavy-duty track and hardware, our “Bronze” models are supplied with lighter-duty, 2” track, standard-cycle springs, hollow torsion shafts and standard use hardware. Goliath Polycarbonate Garage Doors (Pages 10-11) Our Goliath doors include all of the features that makes our Survivor Polycarbonate doors stand out, plus additional structural features that are needed for a door installed and operating in an extra-wide, or extra- tall doorway. Reserved for door sizes over 16’ x 16’, Goliath doors feature a tough, translucent polycarbonate panel with a heavy-duty aluminum frame with additional support. They are a great choice for automated applications such as: transportation facilities, salt/brine operations, fertilizer facilities and other large truck or equipment wash down situations. Goliath Polycarbonate doors are available with our torsion spring counterbalance systems only, but are offered with a variety of hardware packages to match a number of exposures and operational needs. Insulated Washbay Garage Doors (Page 14) Over 35 years ago, our Insulated Washbay Doors were the very first door models that we developed for the car, truck and bus wash market. Due to their ability to outlast and outperform other insulated door designs, our Insulated Washbay Doors are still popular today for situations that are exposed to wet or moist conditions and where a solid, insulated section is needed. Insulated Washbay Doors offer durability, security and energy-savings coupled with an exceptional appearance by combining a good-looking, high-strength, 26 ga. sandwich-style door section with an insulation that handles wet conditions. Designed to shed moisture, this door models’ sections include a tongue and groove meeting rail plus is built with special extruded polystyrene insulation that has minimal moisture absorbsion properties reducing weight creep and other problems due to the freezing of trapped moisture. Produced in a wide range of sizes, Insulated Washbay Doors are offered with our signature hardware packages and provided with torsion spring systems giving you the ability to create a door package that meets your individual facility and local climate needs. Ultraclear Full-Vision Garage Doors (Pages 12-13) Ultraclear Full-Vision Garage Doors are a great choice for any situation that needs a highly durable and reliable door with a clean, clear, professional look that allows full-visibility in and out of the building . Featuring clear, tempered glass or acrylic glazing with a 5/8” air gap for insulation, Ultraclear’s door sections are manufactured with a strong, heavy-duty aluminum frame and “extra” heavy-duty bottom rail. This results in a durable, high-strength section that gives you that stunning see-through showroom look and deep lasting impression. Ultraclear doors are manufactured in sizes up to 14’ X 14’ and are supplied with a torsion spring system for counterbalancing. A number of heavy-duty hardware packages are offered allowing you the ability to choose the best product for your specific application and conditions.
The Goliath models provide all the corrosion resistance and light transmission you’ve come to expect with a Survivor Doors, but with the extra features needed for a large door openings.

Insulated Washbay Doors are a great choice for any wet or moist application that needs the strength, R-value and other benefits of a solid, insulated section.

Survivor, Ultraclear and Insulated Washbay doors are typically ordered with either standard lift or highlift track configurations with an inside angle jamb mounting type. This design is popular because it meets the needs of most situations and delivers a durable, reliable and smooth operating door system. In some cases, these two basic track configurations are not ideal due to the building design or construction features, its contents, purpose or use. Numerous customized track configurations are available to make the best of the building space; considering both the spacial and structural details of the building and any other operational needs.
