A MESSAGE FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Even before launching the MSHMI program, we knew that collaborating with the healthcare and information technology industries was going to be a critical component of its success. As the program celebrates its fifth anniversary, it is clear this was the right decision. Our students have the opportunity to prepare for careers in digital healthcare by connecting with businesses and other organizations driving innovation in that space. In
addition, they participate in leading edge research that will help improve healthcare delivery and patient outcomes. None of this would be possible without our industry colleagues’ valuable support.
Sweta Sneha Founder and Executive Director, MSHMI
A MESSAGE FROM THE DEAN OF COLES COLLEGE OF BUSINESS
Throughout five years, the MSHMI program has grown both in size and reputation thanks in no small part to strong relationships with healthcare providers and technology companies. These relationships have ensured that our students have access to professional resources, the past perspectives, and data, and have provided steppingstones into exciting new careers. The MSHMI program bridges the gap
between multiple healthcare and technology disciplines while also bridging the gap between academic study and real-world application. It is no surprise that, after five years, Kennesaw State’s MSHMI program remains the only one like it in Georgia.
Robin Cheramie Dean, Coles College of Business

Testimonials
The opportunity to interact with key individuals in the healthcare industry as well as the MSHMI program curriculum’s blend of healthcare and informatics will aid me in achieving the goals I’ve set for myself. The curriculum can take me far, but what’s more important is that I can transfer my knowledge into the real world
-VARUN THALLA, Cohort 4
Countless times Sweta gave us the chance to interact with executives, whether at conferences or other networking events. This made me feel really comfortable when it was time to do the actual job. I already knew how to answer questions, be knowledgeable, and control the room
-FORTUNE ONWUZURUIKE, Cohort 2
The program led me to understand a different perspective on healthcare. It allowed me to see the value of the data that is collected and how it can be utilized to serve patients, providers, and payers as we improve the healthcare landscape and reduce costs through technology-driven improvements
-STACY HAYES, Cohort 3
As a medical professional who has seen firsthand how health informatics has been used in the midst of a pandemic, I realize how crucial it is to work closely with informatics to interpret the data collected from a clinical perspective. It is more and more important for clinicians to become involved and assist with data collection in a manner that forwards patient care
