Medicare Claims: An Analysis of the Major Chronic Diseases and the Effect on Total Medicare Reimbursement
This study analyzes Medicare data from the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) database to draw conclusions on the relationship between Medicare reimbursement for chronic disease treatments and the sociodemographic characteristics of beneficiaries receiving the treatment. Researchers also focused on the location of the providers and if there was any association with the amount paid out by Medicare after accounting for other factors such as race, age, and gender
