From Boaz to Black Hills South DaKota Former Boaz High School standout Kadin Benefield (shown wearing jersey #20 during a recent practice) has joined the football program at Black Hills State University in Spearfish, South DaKota. During his time as a Boaz Pirate, Benefield rushed for 3,127 yards and 36 touchdowns, including 1,237 yards during his senior season with 25 touchdowns. He was named First Team All-Area and First Team All-Region, as well as the Marshall County MVP and First Team North Alabama. Benefield's new team has been picked to finished the 2021 season in ninth place in the RMAC (Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference).
