In Hebrew “Nate” means “gift from God”, and that he was. Nate was a caring and loving person. He enjoyed the outdoors, golfing, boating, yard work, and cars. He was a perfectionist in all he did with attention to detail making people's dreams come true as a great auto upholsterer. Though his life was tragically cut short, I am grateful for the time we had together and I find comfort knowing he was loved by all who knew him. Life will never be the same. I'm not ok but everything will be alright.
Measure of a Man Not - How did he die? But - How did he live? Not - What did he gain? But - What did he give? Not - What was his station? But - Had he a heart? And - How did he play his God-given part? Was he ever ready with a word of good cheer? To bring back a smile, to banish a tear? Not - What was his church? Not - What was his creed? But - Had he befriended those really in need? Not - What did the sketch in the newspaper say? But - How many were sorry when he passed away? These are the things that measure the worth. My dear son, I close my eyes for a moment and suddenly a man stood where a boy used to be. I may not carry you in my arms but I will always carry you in my heart.
