Dominic DePalma January 25, 2005 - July 29, 2022 In Remembrance of...
Dominic DePalma was a loyal friend who was obsessed with music, sports, xBox … and his family.
At 17, he competed in many sports, but especially loved soccer and basketball. Coaches recognized his brilliant disposition; confidence and humility; grace and power; and mostly, the positive impact he made on his team- mates and the intimidating force he was against his op- ponents. School came easy to this quick learner and excellent writer. Brilliant in math, Dominic never needed to show his work. The Class Clown often hid how intelligent he truly was. He hosted weekly sleepovers with a dozen friends, fea- turing multiple xBoxes, cooking challenges, decibel- breaking laughter … and not much sleep. His parents were always happiest when smelly boy shoes filled the entryway. Most importantly, Dominic was an incredible son, brother, grandson, nephew, and cousin. His sister still looks up to him and misses the way he teased her. His parents ache for the smell of his hair, glance from his bright green eyes, and room-filling laugh. His grandpar- ents miss sitting on the back patio with Dominic after he mowed their lawn. His aunts and uncles miss him looking them in the eye when he shared his adventures with them. His cousins miss growing up with Dominic -- teaching him how to skateboard, shooting hoops, competing in fantasy football, playing diaper smack- down, taking road trips, and sharing endless family events.
