Important message to Licensed Premises Gaming Licence (LPGL) holders All Licensed Premises Gaming Licences will expire on 30 June 2023. If you do not have a venue licence, you will be unable to operate keno and/or electronic gaming machines from 1 July 2023. Venue licensing The Liquor and Gaming Branch will send an update and information package in late June. This package will contain information on: • Change of venue ownership and licence transfer process • How to increase, decrease, or transfer EGM authorities • Venue inspection procedures and priorities • Venue responsibilities regarding EGM locks and keys • Venue Operator Procedures You can view previous updates and information packages at https://www.gaming.tas.gov.au/read- the-latest-information. Registering for payment of gaming tax and CSL The Branch will be in contact shortly to advise on
the registration process for gaming tax and CSL payments. Please look out for emails from gaming. tax@treasury.tas.gov.au. Regulatory restructure The Changes to gaming regulation fact sheet issued to industry on 24 May is designed to assist you in understanding key changes to the regulatory environment coming into effect on 1 July 2023. The Commission will formally write to licence holders confirm the commencement of the new regulatory requirements. The new Code of Practice, Rules and Standards can be found at Codes of Practice, Rules and Standards effective as of 1 July 2023. Overdue Liquor licence fees Liquor licence annual fees were payable by 31 March 2023. Licences have been suspended for non- payment of the fee. Before the end of June 2023, the Commissioner for Licensing will be cancelling any licence where the annual liquor licence fee has not been paid.
