2021 Balanced Approach Agronomic Program Planning Guide -FL

Large Patch Assurance by Region Two fall applications differ by region, while all regions follow the same protocol for spring. For all recommendations, apply in sufficient water to provide thorough coverage based on mowing height and turf density. Irrigate lightly (less than 0.1” of water) within 24 hours of each application .

Step 1: Two Fall Applications Midwest Region (KS, MO, S. IL, S. IN, KY) Apply Ascernity (1 fl. oz./1,000 ft. 2 ) or Heritage 50WG (.3 oz./1,000 ft. 2 ) twice in the fall on a 28-day interval beginning when soil temperatures are consistently below 68˚F. Southern Region (OK, TX, TN, NC, SC, AK, LA, MS, AL, GA, FL, VA) Apply Ascernity (1 fl. oz./1,000 ft. 2 ) or Headway (1.5 fl. oz./1,000 ft. 2 ) twice in the fall on a 28-day interval beginning when soil temperatures are consistently below 68˚F. Step 2: One Spring Application Make a third application in the spring when turf growth resumes (soil temperatures consistently above 55-60˚F or >50% green-up). For best results, apply in 80 gallons of water per acre. If using less water volume, irrigate with 0.1" immediately after application.
