His fam ily was greatly interested in what he had written and had them printed in a hand­ bill for all citizens to read. That brilliant young attorney whose verse began with “O, say can you see, by the dawn’s early light,” was Francis Scott Key. * * * No man has a right to do as he pleases unless he pleasesto do right. * * * THE DESIRETO BE FIRST What is it about people that makes us want to be first? For in­ stance a young couple here in Southern California were the first to receive a marriage license for 1963.
