Originally working with shutters and blinds in London, Steve made the move to Cornwall around five years ago and set up Queen Street Shutters soon after, to offer a more personal, hands-on service. Every home is different, even when the product is the same, and that is what keeps the work interesting. Steve meets customers in their homes, bringing samples, measuring up, and taking the time to get it right. The shutters themselves offer more than just a visual change. They help keep homes cooler in the summer, warmer in the winter, and create a level of privacy and comfort that people often do not realise until they have them, making them a solid and practical investment. Steve manufactures the “perfect fit” shutters himself in central Cornwall. It gives him full control over the quality
and finish, producing a genuinely bespoke result for each home, not something off the shelf. In a time where so much feels rushed or mass-produced, this is a more considered approach. One focused on getting it right first time, and leaving something behind that genuinely improves how a home feels.
