Cubert Commons, Polly Joke, Kelsey Head and Holywell Bay is a really good ‘couple of hours’ coastal walk if you do the full loop.
One of the best parts is walking along the cliffs and spotting the seals down on the beach below. Polly Joke still feels really unspoiled compared to some places and there are loads of little coves along the route that make you want to stop every five minutes to take a picture.
I like to head out early, you’ll notice the birds more, and the beaches are quieter so it doesn’t feel like the busy summer season.
The best thing for us is that we can walk it straight from our front door and the dogs absolutely love it. They are much happier somewhere quieter without loads going on around them.
There is also a really good pub at Holywell Bay which makes a good excuse to stop before heading back.
