Added to our transport fleet in early 2025, our new 32-tonne Volvo FH 8x2 Tridem Globetrotter XL rigid incorporates the latest fuel-saving technology to increase efficiency and reduce CO₂ emissions. Operating from our state-of-the-art distribution centre in Carnforth, the impressive vehicle is expected to cover up to 150,000 km a year, delivering our products to clients across the UK. Mick Leech, our Head of UK Operations, says: “By investing in high-spec vehicles like our new Volvo we continue to set the standard for excellence in our logistics and supply chain, ensuring that our luxury wood flooring and surfaces arrive in perfect condition – just as our clients would expect. “The Volvo engine offers a balance of power and fuel economy, ensuring we can maximise efficiency on our long-haul journeys while keeping running costs down. The 8x2 Tridem axle configuration – with lifting pusher and tag axles – also offers excellent manoeuvrability and load stability, ensuring safer and more efficient deliveries.”
