THE CFTC AT 50: EXAMINING THE PAST AND FUTURES OF COMMODITY MARKETS In FY 2025, NFA President and CEO Thomas Sexton testified before the U.S. House Committee on Agriculture during its hearing entitled, “The CFTC at 50: Examining the Past and Future of Commodity Markets.” His testimony covered NFA’s important regulatory role and primary functions, the CFTC’s broad oversight of NFA and the effectiveness of the NFA-CFTC partnership.
