P ennsylvania GREETINGS:

D elaware

Over the last year, our team has been working hard on initiatives that will benefit Delawareans across our state. We’ve focused on creating an economy that will make Delaware a leader in the 21st century—an economy that focuses on innovation and supports small business. To make this transition, we needed to restructure the way we conduct the business of economic de- velopment in our state. We launched the Delaware Prosperity Partnership, a nonprofit that connects the public and private sectors to improve economic development efforts throughout Delaware and help create good-paying jobs. This strategic partnership

It is a great honor to have this opportunity to extend my personal gratitude as Governor of Pennsylvania, and on behalf of the commonwealth’s residents, to the commercial real estate professionals of the Mid- Atlantic Region. Your efforts and steadfast dedication play an integral role in supporting the continued economic prosperity for the Keystone State. Your work, as well as that of The Mid-Atlantic Real Estate Journal, helps raise awareness of the many advantageous qualities that Pennsylvania borders boast- a prime geographic location, excel- lent transportation resources, an array of outstanding colleges and universities, a highly skilled workforce, and incomparable natural beauty. Your skillful distribution of those messages and your overall promotion of the state attract new businesses that create well-paying jobs, which in turn contributes to the overall economic well-being As Governor, and on behalf of all citizens of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, I am pleased to recognize your contributions to the economic vitality of the commonwealth. I wish you success for continued endeavors. Sincerely, Tom Wolf, Governor Tom Wolf

John Carney

will help our state attract early-stage and technology-focused businesses, large employers, and international business opportunities for Delaware companies. We also created a new division within the Department of State called the Division of Small Business, Development and Tourism. This new division will be tasked with connecting small businesses with resources and addressing their specific needs and concerns. Delaware’s responsive government makes the First State a welcoming environment for businesses and entrepreneurs. There has never been a better time to live, work and raise a family here in our state. Delaware’s central location, reasonable cost of living and strong tourism industry offer a good quality of life and fun things to do for both residents and visitors. Delaware values its relationship with commercial real estate professionals and looks forward to a continued partnership to help our region succeed. Sincerely, John C. Carney, Governor

N ew J ersey Dear Friends:

It is my pleasure to address and extend my best wishes to commercial real estate professionals from New Jersey and our neighbors in Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland and Virginia. Facilitating economic growth in New Jersey is one of the most critical things that I aim to achieve as Governor of this great state. My goal is to make New Jersey one of the top states for innovation and industry by creating a pro-growth business climate.

Phil Murphy

I am committed to making New Jersey a state where entrepreneurs and employers feel welcome, while also generating economic prosperity for all workers in our state. New Jersey has the best location of any state in the nation—nestled between New York City and Philadelphia with 130 miles of world-class coastline. Commercial industry and real estate are a significant part of what will help businesses grow and thrive in the years to come. I look forward to working with industry professionals to create a prosperous future for New Jersey and continue to take advantage of all the resources we have in the Garden State. Sincerely, Phil Murphy Governor
