“Helping laboratories keep pace with rapid regulatory change” Going back thousands of years – at least since the ancient Egyptians used toxic lead sulphide in eye make-up – cosmetics have had the potential to contain ingredients which could harm their users. Today, key legislation – such as the US Modernization of Cosmetics Regulation Act (MoCRA) and China’s Cosmetics Supervision and Administration Regulation (CSAR) – has introduced a host of additional safety requirements, as well as a demand for more evidence that products comply. The LGC AXIO PT Cosmetics, Toiletries & Detergents Proficiency Testing Scheme is designed to ensure that analytical laboratories’ chemical, microbiological, and physical analysis keep pace with these global changes – and also provides them with the confidence that their results are meaningful and accurate.
