T E X T DEBORAH L. MARTIN I n the former parish house of St. Bernard’s Church in Bernards- ville, New Jersey, a revival is taking place. ASPIRE DESIGN & HOME, in partnership with NGC Development and Turpin Real Estate is converting the 100-year-old Gothic structure, and a new adjacent build- ing, into 20 new residences equipped for modern life, with an eye towards the historic architecture of the past. The Heritage at Claremont Show- house, which included the work of 12 nationally and regionally known de- signers, benefitted the Connie Dwyer Breast Cancer Foundation. The original Great Hall, which was designed by Henry Janeway Harden- bergh and erected in 1912, holds four of the residences, and the adjacent new building, which includes a facade of stone from the same quarry as the original, houses the remaining

KITCHEN AND POWDER ROOM: Anna Maria Mannarino designed a kitchen, living room, dining room, and powder room in one of the units. She describes her design as minimalist with an edge, and a focus on standout pieces with unique flair.
